confession: i hate 30 day shred

y’all, it’s just not doing it for me. Yes, I’m totally exhausted by the end of the workout, but I feel like she’s trying to fit too much in all at once. I feel like the combination moves mean sacrificing proper form for more burn. And to be honest, I feel SUPER DORKY doing a lot of her moves.

I mean, I was at the gym yesterday doing those oblique twists feeling like an idiot next to these two dudes lifting 50 lb dumbbells in each hand. I know it’s all about YOUR burn and not someone else’s, but Jillian’s moves are pretty dorky sometimes.

So. That being said, after part 3 next week I’m definitely switching to something I feel like less of a nerd doing. I Never felt this way about p90x, so that’s the obvious choice, but I just got JM Body Revolution and feel like maybe I should TRY it.

My only complaint with p90x is how long the workouts are, so I skip a lot of them. Jillian’s BR workouts are around 30 mins each, which is probably a lot more feasible for someone as busy as I am.

So…thoughts?

30 DAY SHRED RESULTS
ok so im kinda nervous about posting this as my before pic is horrendous (as they always are)
this is me from april to may, gone from 128 to 122 not a massive loss in pounds but iv lost quite a few inches!
clean eating, no junk and running a few times a week!
hope you guys like them, I’m super motivated right now! day 3 of insanity today!!!!

Serious, serious inspiration. I’m half-assing my way through 30DS right now and I could be actually killing that last 10 lbs, just like Jillian said. You have a new follower, dear.

Introducing :: FitGirlThin’s 5 Day Challenge!
Here’s how it works. Every day you have a new target workout - and every hour, on the hour, do a set amount of this move. I’m starting with 10 times an hour, 10 times a day. I’ll start when I wake up and finish once I’ve logged 10 sessions, or when I go to sleep (whichever comes first).
Why? Because I spend 90% of my day on the couch with my computer.  It’s one of the downsides of working from home. The upside, however, is that I can do squats once an hour without anyone bugging me.
